Departure time 6:00 am - Return to docks 3:00pm
One hour drive time to the fishing grounds.
Typical catch:
Year round: rock cod, ling cod, salmon grouper, white fish, red snapper, calico bass, sand bass.
Summer months only: yellow tail, bonito, white sea bass, halibut, barracuda, giant squid.
Santo Tomas Reef:
Departure time 5:00 am - Return to docks 4:00pm
Two hour drive time to the fishing grounds.
Typical catch:
Year round: rock cod, ling cod, salmon grouper, white fish, red snapper, calico bass, sand bass.
Summer months only: yellow tail, bonito, white sea bass, halibut, barracuda, giant squid.
Long Range Tuna / Albacore:

Weekend in Ensenada

My first trip to Ensenada was one to remember. On March 27th this year we had a group of 8 guys on Selena. Jay the owner of the boat set us up with everything we needed rods, food, beer. Our captain Lucas and deckhand Horhay put us on fish immediately. We caught red snapper, rock cod, whitefish, bonita and best of all yellowtail. With all the talk of issues in Mexico, I felt completely safe with the guys from Selena. I would highly recommend Selena for anyone to charter. Many thanks to Jay and his staff for a sucessful trip. We will be back for sure!
